Francisca Vieira
CEO of Natural Cotton Color
Francisca Vieira is from Paraíba, in the Northeast region of Brazil. The daughter of a natural cotton grower, she is the president of Natural Cotton Color, a company founded in the state capital João Pessoa, where she produces clothing and accessories made with organic colored cotton.
The brand gained international reach through participation in fairs and events. It has showcased creations and innovative fabrics at Première Vision Paris and unique handcrafted pieces at Maison D’Exceptions, being the only Brazilian exhibitor at the event. It was also the only Brazilian brand present at Pure London, in the UK capital, invited by the United Nations’ International Trade Center (ITC). The brand was the only one in Brazil to be invited by the governments of Canada and France to present its business model case study aligned with climate change at the WTO Public Forum in 2018.
A member of the Local Productive Arrangement (APL) of colored cotton in Paraíba, Francisca is recognized as a key advocate for cultivating the raw material, leading its expansion through fashion—an important sector of the Creative Economy. Francisca holds a degree in Industrial Psychology from the State University of Paraíba (UEPB) and a master’s degree in Production Engineering from the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB).
