Max Gilgenmann's interest in changing the fashion industry kickstarted in 2006 during his fashion design studies in the UK and Hongkong. In 2010 he started working internationally as consultant for sustainability along textile and fashion value chains, especially in South-East Asia. He moved on to become an expert on criteria defining sustainability in different sectors of the industry and a strategic consultant with focusing on communication and a truly holistic glocal understanding of sustainability. 2016 he co-founded the Berlin NGO Future Fashion Forward that coordinates the global Fashion Revolution campaign in Germany. Additionally, Max acts as Content Director of Messe Frankfurt's NEONYT trade show hub and has been heavily involved in its evolution over the last nine years. Two years ago, he joined forces with one of Germany's most renown sustainable fashion pioneers, Magdalena Schaffrin, to grow their range of services for our changing industry through consulting agency Kaleidoscope Berlin.
