Lara holds a BSc in Environmental Engineering from the State University of Sao Paulo and a Masters of Environmental Management degree from Yale University. Since 2014 she has worked with numerous international NGOs on projects related to marine conservation, pollution and sustainable fisheries management. Lara joined Oceana in 2017 as a Marine Scientist, to support technical and tactical development of Oceana’s advocacy campaigns. She is currently leading Oceana’s campaign to reduce marine plastic pollution in Brazil.
