Senior Sustainability Strategist at Futerra
Lilian Liu is a Senior Sustainability Strategist at Futerra, a sustainability consultancy and B-corp with a mission to make sustainability so desirable it becomes normal. She helps companies set bold sustainability visions for the change they want to lead and develop the roadmaps to deliver. She works with companies across fashion, technology, consumer goods and beauty, from F500s to innovative start-ups and NGOs. Lilian brings global policy lens to her work. Prior, she was a Manager of Partnerships & UN Relations at the UN Global Compact. There, she worked to mobilise companies to take action on the SDGs and managed a digital partnership platform for UN-business partnerships. In China, she helped launch the sustainable fashion movement together with NGO Redress that works to minimize textile waste in the fashion industry. She also worked as a consultant for Social Accountability International assessing labos issues in supply chains in Brazil. Lilian has been named a Greenbiz 30 Under 30 leader. She advises for Fashion Act Now and Earth Pledge, a NGO to drive climate action in the music industry. Lilian has an MPA from New York University and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, French, English and Swedish.
