Maial Panhpunu Paiakan, of the Mebengokre – Kayapó people, located in the state of Pará – graduated in Law from Faculdade de Colinas Tocantins. She is a researcher and activist for environmental and human rights issues, especially for the struggle of indigenous women in what regards guarantee and implementation of rights, and room for discussion on traditional knowledge.
