President, ArteSol

Sônia is the President of the ArteSol NGO, which aims to safeguard and disseminate traditional handicrafts as a Brazilian cultural heritage, promoting the cultural, social and economic development of communities. She is co-responsible for the creation of the virtual platform Rede Artesol, the only website that connects the entire chain of handicrafts in Brazil, articulating the agents that work on different fronts in the sector, nationally and internationally.

She was CEO of the Gucci group, responsible for all operations in Brazil.
From an Intern to Director of Business Unit at Alpargatas for twenty years, she worked in the areas of marketing, commercial and industrial with the brands Havaianas, Rainha, Topper, and she was responsible for the entire Mizuno operation in Brazil. She was a Director of the Alpargatas Institute.

Sônia graduated in Business Administration from FAAP, with a Master's degree from FGV and a Master's degree in Corporate Governance in the Capital Market - BI from the Columbia University and John Hopkins.
