Silvio Moraes
Agricultural Engineer and Representative of the Textile Exchange for Latin America

Agronomist and Master in Microbiology from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, he carried out specializations in the environmental area outside Brazil and abroad.
In the late eighties he started working with José Lutzenberger and other pioneers in agroecology. Since then, he has worked in institutions such as the Gaia Foundation and the Hamburg Environmental Institute, among others, and has consolidated himself as an independent consultant in the area of ecological development and agroecology. Since 1995, he has participated in projects aimed at promoting organic cotton and in 2015 he became a representative of the Textile Exchange for Latin America.
