Communicator, feminist and creator of Modices
Carla Lemos is a communicator, feminist and creator of Modices, one of the most influential channels of fashion and empowerment in Brazil. She was fascinated by the internet world back in 2007, when she started sharing style tips on her blog, one of the pioneers in Brazilian fashion content. The success of the idea of talking about "fashion for those who were not fashionable" led her to become a stylist for actresses and magazines. Navigating between the style of the Bailes de Madureira (a popular outdoor street party with hip hop, soul, and r & b in the north of Rio) and the high fashion of international Fashion Week editions, Carla discovered in fashion a powerful tool capable of changing and empowering women. In 2019, Carla consolidated all her experience in the book Use a Moda a Seu Favor (Use Fashion to Your Favor), by Editora Record. In addition to producing contents, Carla Lemos also collaborates as a speaker at Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro – UERJ, SENAC – the National Commercial Learning Service and Nestlé. She is a communication consultant for Google, O Boticário, Olympikus, Grendene and C&A, as well as a presenter on the PRIMAS podcast. Today, based on themes such as female protagonism and representation, Carla Lemos prepares her next book while taking care of plants at @instadoape.
